It is ICA's pleasure to invite you to our International CTEPH Conference 2021

A year into the COVID-19 pandemic and a little over 2 months before the planned date for ICC 2021, the global situation has unfortunately not normalised as much as all of us had hoped. Many of us are still faced with advice not to travel abroad, quarantine rules and restrictions regarding the ability to meet other people. It is for this reason that the ICA have decided to postpone ICC 2021 a second time.

The new date is 10-11 December 2021; the location will stay the same as before: Hotel Dolce in Bad Nauheim, Germany. The conference will still be held in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and virtual attendance.

Although virtual events have proven highly valuable over the last year, and clearly have their advantages, they do not quite match the personal level of engagement of a face-to-face meeting. We sincerely hope that postponing the conference to a later date will enable more of us to get together and discuss the latest science around CTEPH in person, as we have done on previous occasions.

Registration for the conference will stay open (https://cteph2021.org/registration/); a second call for abstracts is planned and will be announced on the conference and ICA websites as well as on Twitter.

What to expect: The triennial ICC medical congresses are dedicated exclusively to CTEPH. The field of CTEPH has seen a remarkable evolution in recent years. Interventional treatment has established itself as standard worldwide, and extensive research is ongoing into the optimal use of existing treatment modalities depending on patient profiles. The programme for the upcoming ICC 2021 covers many aspects of the disease, ranging from pathophysiology and epidemiology, to diagnosis and surgery, interventional treatment, medical and multimodal therapy. The possible influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on CTEPH incidence will be considered and the final session will be devoted to current hot topics in the field.

Our goal is to offer a platform for sharing and discussing the latest scientific and clinical developments in CTEPH, to enable an informative and dynamic conference.

We look forward to welcoming you to Bad Nauheim – in person, or virtually.
